Annapurna Basecamp Trek is very rewarding experiences through unbroken line of stunning peaks, lush forested gorgeous foothills, crashing waterfalls, breathtaking gorges, picturesque lush farmland villages, amazing bamboo wildlife habitats, and very hospitable people. The Annapurna Base camp Trek holds several treasures for the mountain lovers like the panoramic view of Himalayas that includes Hiunchuli, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Gangapurna, and Machhapuchhre.

The trail goes along the Modi River through forests alive with birds, rhododendrons, ferns and orchids. There are attractions to be enjoyed in the sky and on the ground. In addition, the region is a home for different animals like Clouded Leopards, Himalayan Thar, Himalayan Giant Honey Bee, Pheasants, Musk Deer. Rest and revive in cosy mountain teahouses and meet friendly locals along the way. Of course,  the most rewarding part of this tour for mountain lovers is at the end, with the most stunning panoramic mountain view in the world.

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be met and greeted by your trek guide and transferred to your Hotel. After an hour of rest after your long Flight, your guide will come to take you around Kathmandu for an orientation of the city. In the evening he will give you a briefing about Annapurna Base Camp Trek and free evening.

Day 2:Kathmandu full day sightseeing/ Overnight in Kathmandu

Kathmandu is one of the popular destinations for tourists, trekkers and other types of adventure seekers, being rich in its history and culture. This morning, we take a walking heritage tour of Kathmandu’s old bazaars, and Durbar Square.The April earthquake might have made a rubble of a few old palaces. However, renovations are ongoing.

Patan and Bhaktapur are its two major neighboring cities. Sightseeing to all these cities is designed to address the flavour for cultural discovery as it gives an opportunity to experience the centuries of ancient temples and religious shrines of the three medieval kingdoms.

Day 3:Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara/ Overnight in Pokhara

 As our plan today early morning, we drive by a comfortable tourist coach to Pokhara, which is about 5/6 hrs from Kathmandu. The driving is through mountain high way, you have all the time fantastic view of spectacular Himalayas, ethnic villages, green lush valleys, flora and fauna en route.

Pokhara is a scenic place, a city of lakes and close view of Himalayas Annapurna, Machhapuchre (Fishtail) and Dhaulagiri.

Day 4:Trek to Landrung/ Overnight at Landrung

After breakfast we will take a drive of about one and half hour to reach Nayapul from Nayapul we start walking. We will walk past sub tropical valley forests, sometimes on the carved trail on the side of the cliff. After walking through Tikhedhunga we will reach the base of the hill that has around 3500 steps that lead to the village of Ulleri, where we will spend the night.

Day 5:Trek to Jhinu/ Overnight at Jhinu

We start walking in the morning after breakfast along the path that leads to the rhododendrons forest and you can see the Annapurna South, hidden by a ridge smiling at you. We will walk past the villages of Banthanti and Nangathanti through the forest to reach Ghorepani. Ghorepani is a settlement of Magars and has the biggest collection of rhododendron. Overnight at hotel in Ghorepani.

Day 6:Visit Poon Hill and trek to Chuile/ Overnight at Chuile
Itinerary

Early morning hike to Poon Hill (3210m) for amazing sunrise view about an hour walk. The view of the shining mountains is good for photograph, after about one hours exiting sunrise we will back down to the lodge at Ghorepani and trek to Tadapani after

breakfast. The beginning parts of the trek the trail steep uphill to the ridge through the stone steps till Deurali. It is almost parallel height of Poonhill. After pass through the rhododendron forest, we will have end short easy walk to the ridge and steep down to the river to cross the bridge and small up till Tadapani then down to Chuile (2630 m.)  Overnight at local lodge in Chuile.

Day 7:Trek to Bamboo/ Overnight at Bamboo
Itinerary

From Chuile the trail drops down with terrace field until cross the river.  After crossing the river gradually uphill till Chhomrong where will have lunch.  Chhomrung is a Gurung Village, and the highest permanent settlement in the valley with tremendous view across to Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare. Then head down and up till Sinuwa. Overnight at local lodge in Sinwa.

Day 8:Trek to Deurali/ Overnight at Deurali
Itinerary

We continue our journey and reach Dovan shortly.  We make our first move with a gentle gradual ascent. Lush forests of oak, pines and rhododendron forest are in our way. We walk through Hotel Himalayan and bridges over two streams. There are possibilities that we gain views of wild lives such as wild pigs, deer, and maybe even snow leopards. Our further path takes us to Deurali. Overnight at local lodge in Deurali.

Day 9:Trek to ABC/ Overnight at Annapurna Base Camp
Itinerary

The trail further proceeds gently up through a river bed and then to the mountain side. A collection of tea shops marks the Machhapuchre base camp from where excellent views of the majestic Machhapuchhre along with Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli and Gangapurna which is certainly a rewarding experience.

The vegetation disappears on our way to Annapurna Base Camp and the path broadens as we enter the Annapurna sanctuary. From here, we get sensational views of the near-vertical south face of Annapurna towering above us.

Day 10:Trek to Dhoban/ Overnight at Dhoban
Itinerary

After breakfast, we continue our journey to return. We may need fixed ropes in some sections of the trail.  Emerging from thick forest in the afternoon, we will cross a bare rocky plain to Dhoban.

Day 11:Trek to Chhomrung/ Overnight at Chhomrung
Itinerary

We take a long descend through rhododendron and bamboo forests. The trail follows downhill to Modi Khola and then a steep uphill climb to Chhomrung for night stay.

Day 12:Trek to Ghandrung/ Overnight at Ghandrung
Itinerary

From Chhomrung, we head back towards Ghandrung through forests. We get yet another chance to explore the view of picturesque, panoramic view of Annapurna South, including Machhapuchre and Hiunchuli.

Day 13:Trek to Pokhara/ Overnight in Pokhara
Itinerary

This day we pass through the scenic route with the views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Fishtail and Gangapurna Mountains. We cross the forest of blooming rhododendron and reach Birethanti from where we take the downhill walk and follow Modi Khola till we reach Nayapul. Now we drive back from Nayapul to Pokhara and relax in the hotel.

Day 14:Flight to Kathmandu/ Overnight in Kathmandu

Fly back to Kathmandu and check in at Hotel. Evening free time, so you can have a walk around to the local market to get some last souvenirs or you can visit Spa in the hotel.

Day 15:Good Bye Nepal

The best season go for Trekking in Nepal is during the dry and warm months from late February through to June and from September through to November. During these months in trekking areas temperatures is stable in the morning 10 to 12 Celsius and during the day 15 to 20 Celsius depending on the Months.
